ITINERARY -- SUBJECT TO CHANGE -- LOTS MORE INFORMATION TO FOLLOW
Wednesday, September 24- 3:15pm flight on US Airways to
Philadelphia and on to Shannon Airport. You'll need to check in at
the airport by 3:30pm, to make sure there are no problems along the
way. We'll be waiting for you in the airport pub nearest the
US Airways gate.
Thursday, September 25 - Arrive Shannon at 8:30am, we'll be
met by the one and only Dave Spillane, our guide and driver for the
week, then pile into the luxury coach for the drive to Killarney.
We'll be there for before our rooms are ready, most likely, so there
will be time for a late breakfast/early lunch. Then we'll check in,
and we're on our own to take a jaunting car ride around the lakes of
Killarney, go horseback riding, visit the famous Muckross House, or
just relax. Other than the mandatory trips from hotel to hotel, all
day trips are optional. You're on your own for dinner and daytime
activities, but we'll have plenty of suggestions, and gathering
spots. First of two nights at the Eviston Hotel in the heart of
Killarney, with it's famous Danny Mann's pub, and live Irish
entertainment nightly.
Friday, September 26 - Optional day trip to the Blarney Castle
and Woolen Mills, Cork City, and Cobh (formerly Queenston), where
most of our ancestors boarded emigrant ships bound for the USA. We'll
have the full evening back in Killarney for fun and frolic. Golf
courses within a mile!
Saturday, September 27 -- Another day and night in Killarney,
day trip to be announced.
Sunday, September 28 - Road Trip to West Clare, we'll be
staying in Lisdoonvarna, near Doolin. Details to follow.
Monday, September 29 - All day and night in Doolin and
Lisdoonvarna.
Tuesday, September 30 - Short drive to Galway City, staying at
the Forsters Court Hotel.
Wednesday, October 1 - Full day and night in Galway.
October 2nd - Early out, for the busride to Bunratty,
last-minute shopping, then over to the Shannon Airport for an
Irish Coffee, duty-free shopping, and the flight back to Buffalo.
We're schedule to arrive this evening at 9:00pm via
Philly. CHANGE -- OUR
ARRIVAL TIME IN BUFFALO IS NOW SCHEDULED FOR
4:57PM.
